Who Inspires You? Index Engines Celebrates International Women's Day

At Index Engines, our cultural transformation reflects a world where differences are valued and celebrated. As the women at Index Engines came together for International Women's Day, a common thread emerged.

We're proud to be women in tech. We're proud to bring our perspectives, our experiences, and our voices to an industry that's better with us in it.

Because diversity matters.

When women lead, we all rise.
When we see women in leadership, we dare to dream bigger.
When we see women making decisions, we learn to trust our voices.
When we see women succeed, we gain the courage to pursue our ambitions.
When we see women lift others up, we're reminded to do the same.
When women lead today, they pave the way for the next generation to know they belong.

But we don't do it alone. We're inspired by family, mentors, and champions—men and women—who believe in us, challenge us, and shape our paths in tech.

That's why, at Index Engines, we support each other and celebrate women in tech. Hear from a few Index Engines team members about their journeys and inspirations:

Taresh Mehra, Senior Product QA Engineer: "Today, I want to celebrate the incredible woman who has shaped my journey in more ways than one—my wife. She's not just my partner in life, but also my mentor and someone whose insight has had a profound influence on my career."

"As a Technical Architect and a leader in her field, we've had countless discussions, debates, and disagreements, but each conversation has pushed me to think deeper, work smarter, and become a better version of myself. Her unwavering strength, determination, and ability to solve complex problems with clarity and purpose constantly inspire me."

Melissa Romillo, Marketing Director: "My mom was the most gifted and compassionate person I knew. She taught preschool handicapped children and was able to change and improve countless lives. I don't have the talents she had, but I try really hard to be as kind and generous as I can be."

Ping Ma, Principal Engineer "Marie Curie is my role model who inspires me with her dedication and passion for technology. She devoted herself to her research, even though she died from a condition she developed after years of exposure to radiation through her work."

Natalie Segro, Partner Marketing Enablement Manager: "My first "real" manager (in a COMPLETELY male dominated industry) has been my inspiration and driver, when it comes to my career. I was lucky enough to have her at the early stages of my career, in which she laid the foundation of being strong, steadfast, and reminded me to never waver in my beliefs. With her, I never had time to have Imposter Syndrome or self doubt because she said "It needs to be done and why not you?" She didn't say it with the tone of "add it to your plate". She said it in the essence of "you're qualified, you have great insight and thought process, why should it be given to someone else."

Steve Baldwin, Western Reginal Sales Manager: "My VP and boss at Fujitsu and I were peers, and as our careers advanced, she was promoted to VP of Sales. There was no doubt she was the most qualified for the position, but she faced significant competition. I lobbied hard for her because I knew she would be a wonderful boss. She took me under her wing and mentored me, helping me move up within the company. She's the most dedicated and passionate person I know, both in her career and her family. Not only has she made me a better person, but she's also helped me become a solid sales professional."

Dorota Struzanowska, DACH Regional Sales Manager: "My mother has been my greatest inspiration in life. She has faced hardships, endured the loss of loved ones, and yet never gave up. She made countless mistakes, not out of recklessness, but because she always put others' happiness before her own. Growing up, I didn't fully understand the depth of her sacrifices, but now, as a grown woman myself, I see it clearly. Witnessing her resilience, emotions, and struggles shaped me into the person I am today. For that, I am forever grateful."
